Gentle Typhoons
Cougar Vortex

If you really want SILENT fans, make sure you do your research because people have different opinions on what "Silent" is.

i have a question for you about a fan controller:

i ordered the Scythe Kaze Q12 12-Channel Fan Controller. now i know i will have like 32+ fans total in my case, so the controller has 12 channels, does that mean i will have to buy 4 of these controllers?
Each channel on the controller is rated for 1 Amp. Each fan runs a wopping 0.08 amps. or 0.96 watts at 12v.
So you could just tie them together.

Buy 1. Unless you really want to have 3 on your pc.

Interesting,

so your saying i could tie them together? what exactly do you mean by that?

are you talking about twisting the fan wire ends together?

how many could i do on one connection at a time if i am using say for instance AP-15's?

Something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812189063

Perhaps put 3 per channel... smile.gif

Edit: Unless you really want to get the good old soldering gun out.

Hey there are many kinds of Gentle Typhoon fans.

Some are 1845 rpms and some are 1400 rpms.

I need some advice as to what would be the best ones to get.

I am using 2 XSPC rads and 2 SR-1 Rads in my case.

I wanted to know what am i gaining or losing when i choose 1845rpms compared to 1400 rpms.

i know faster will probably be louder but am i getting better performance/temps with faster?
