The 6990 is meant to be watercooled for the full potential. I was limited at 935/1350 on the stock heatsink, but I was able to overclock both cards at 1200/1500 at 1.2v on water/ I run my cards at 1000/1400 at 1.175v for everyday usage and it idles at 29-33c and maxes out at 45c with Furmark.

I really wanted to try out a pair of 3GB GTX580 for shiznitz and giggles, but a few incidents in life made it impossible for the meantime.

Oh and OP, at least get a Corsair 650D. I don't want to see $1500 worth of GPUs in a budget tower case. Also a Seasonic Platinum 1000 is a must tongue.gif

You hardly need more than 2 gpus for a single monitor setup, even if it is a 120hz monitor. If you really want to invest your money wisely, don't spend a lot of now and just wait for AMD's new cards coming out early next year. As someone suggested, get a 6870 or 6950 for now and buy 2x 7970s when they come out. If you did decide to spend $1500 now, that "investment" would depreciate to maybe half the price when those new gpus roll out.

OP said he's gonna get a CM HAF X, that's nowhere near a budget tower case.

It's one of the cheapest looking Full-Tower cases you can get. But regardless, when you're spending that much on GPUs alone you should be looking into getting the best of everything, as well as colour coordinating the components in your rig tongue.gif

Despite the 650D being better, for a 3-4 GPU setup, it's not ideal. A full tower case would be better suited. Though if you're saying "best of everything", might as well get a MountainMods case or those more expensive Silverstone cases. tongue.gif

Polymerabbit, why do you think HAF X is budget case?
breadcrums, 1monitor 120hz.

What do you think about 2x of these?'ll i get +120 fps at crysis 2? http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N580GTX-Lightning-Xtreme-Edition.html#?div=Specification
What do you think about dual GPUs (such as gtx 590 and hd 6990).
As you suggested i should wait for January.Maybe ''ll wait.

About motherboard,my mistake.Going buy asus rampage III extreme (i think that is one of the bests).
I can spend for all PC hardware not more than 4000USD. (Spending lot money ,because that 'll be future invest. Also hadn't any strong pc for gaming)
By the way,you should know i'm not going to water cool.I'll use only air coolin' system.Something like these:
http://www.kilobaitas.lt/Ausintuvai/Corsair/Corsair_Ch%C5%82odzenie_wodne_Cooli/CWCH100/CatalogStoreDetail.aspx?CatID=PL_391&ID=389115
Or
http://www.kilobaitas.lt/Ausintuvai/Corsair/CORSAIR_HYDRO_H80_CPU_COOLER_1/CWCH80/CatalogStoreDetail.aspx?CatID=PL_391&ID=391450
If you know any better air coolers let me know. Also waiting more suggestions about GPUs.(that won't cost +1.5k).Thanks all.

Those Lightening's should get you the frames you want and the 3gb VRAM means that no matter what game or single screen resolution you play, you should be hitting 120 fps esspecially how cool they run allowing maximum overclocking. I can't say whether it's worth waiting for the next series of cards or not but if I had the money for these cards I would snap them up and never look back, and if things start getting slower 2-3 years down the line you could always just drop another one in with your board allowing tri-sli.
