Actually i sorted this out, just stress testing now to make sure everything is 100% It was a ram issue. My ram timings for some reason were not at the manufacturer specs and instead of 9,9,9,24 was 11,11,11,28 plus the rest were all off by a lard amount, after i adjusted everything was more smooth in games except i got random bsods. After alot of poking around i finally came to the conclusion that adjusting my ram to 1.65 volts at stock ram timings everything is great. So far ive had prime 95 running for stability for around 4 hours and never reached over 29C @ 4.5ghz 2400 cpu-nb 2400 HT so im gonna leave it alone, everything is smooth and im happy lol

Whoa, is that stable and under temps? That's a whopper clock. The most i've gotten stable is 4.08GHz, but that was a crappy old MSI board. xD
I'm going to try some new stuff on the ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 i'm going to buy on the 7th.
Although, I think I should invest in a new cooler if I want to raise the voltage beyond 1.36v.

his volts are crazy, anything over 1.55 is seriously dangerous. I've got 4ghz at 1.4 stable. just ramping up the multi and not touching the bus *might* up your volts as the stress I think would be all on the CPU and none shared by the northbridge. by upping the fsb and not doing it all with the multi I *think* you could get those volts down.

but I am certain about those volts. 1.55 is the AMD guideline top limit.

I think i'll try the FSB tip. I know I need to keep my HT link low for stability. Some times it upps when I change base clocks. I think the max multiplier i can have is 17x, and that gave me 4.08GHz with the OC switch on my mobo set to 20%(which boosts the FSB, I think. I hadn't identified what exactly it raised) But when I get my new mobo i'd have to start with the basics. nothing automatic.
