Never Overclocked Before... - Page 3

Ok, disabling the auto-unlocker alows me to see the core temps, which are quite a deal lower then my CPU temp haha. My Core Temps so far over the last 5-6 minutes running the prime95 have stayed at 49-50c

And since no game in this world requires 6cores yet, I may do what you recommended and disable two of them and just run it like a quad core to reduce the temp.

Ok it's been running steady for the last hour at 52-53c on the cores, hasn't gone any higher.

What next?

let it stay for at least 8 hours. This way you can be sure sure that it won't burn

53 is kinda high imo

Thought I was supposed to do something else after I let it run for an hour?

2 hours 15 minutes, steady at 51-53c

As I mentioned before, since most games nowadays don't even really 6 core processors I intend to disable 2 of the cores to allow for better temperatures as well as higher clock speeds.

Left Prime95 running all night, stayed at 51-53c.

Then you should be good and running biggrin.gif

Happy Overclocking

Report temperatures with Degrees not Farenheit.

Those aren't Farenheit... Those are celcius.
The Farenheit temps got up to 127.

And why you write 37F? Write like this 37'C.
