1 x 120 RASA kit VS Silver arrow or D14?

Hi everyone!

working on my new I5-2500k rig, still on stock cooling and planning to change that soon! Originally, I was hoping to go WC biggrin.gif (been drooling on those amazing WC rigs drool.gif) but unfortunately, dont have enough resources mad.gif to go custom WC. For a while, i was leaning on either SA or D14, But it seems that i could'nt resist the Dark Side tongue.gif and am now considering getting a XSPC rasa 450 RS120 kit.

So my questions are, would this kit out perform a SA or D14 on moderate OC? would the premium over aircoolers be worth it? can i add another 120 rad in the future using the stock pump that comes with the kit?

Really hope some on could enlighten me. This itch to get a better cooler is driving me nuts! kookoo.gif

if all you can afford is the 120 kit I would say go SA or D14 as you would need to upgrade everything in the kit if you wanted to do cpu+gpu's

Go SA or D14 - the Rasa is not worth it on a single 120mm rad. It will cool similar to either of those air coolers or perhaps a few degrees cooler but it costs significantly more, so imo no, the premium is not worth it. You could add another 120mm and only then would you see bigger differences compared to a single 120mm radiator.

If you're going to watercool I'd say start off with the Rasa RS/RX240 kit rather than the RS120 as it simply won't be worth it.

I don't have any data at hand, but the SA is one of the top air coolers atm it would perform close to the RS120.

Save up for a decent WC tongue.gif A Rasa 240kit will perform significantly better than any air cooler and it's a relatively cheap way to get started in WC. In the UK it costs roughly £95 so it would be about $130 dollars I believe.

Don't go custom loop if you want to save money. tongue.gif

@Riou

LOL! I Know! but the darkside is so powerful!! an image of WC in my rig keeps taunting me.. tongue.gif

@kai'`

Unfortunately The 120 kit costs 109 CAD and the 240 kit costs 191 CAD here in Canada. I should be seriously be thinking about SA but find myself thinking where to scrounge up the money.. biggrin.gif

moved up from an h-50 to silver arrow, this thing is beast, only thing that beats it is a 240mm water loop.
