Looking for mouse pad recommendations

Thread Starter
I just bought a glass top desk, so I have go back to using a mouse pad. I've used several different kinds in the past, but thought I'd try something new this time. I find that I prefer hard surfaces such as plastic or frosted glass. I also prefer a somewhat rough surface; very slick pads don't work well for me. This pad will be used with a laser mouse (G9x). What do you guy suggest?

I use a Steelseries 9HD. It's got a rough glide and I really like it. Plus it's more durable than cloth pads.

It's got a pretty cool look to it too smile.gif

I'm not a fan of hard pads, but I have to agree with brackberry and say that the 9HD is probably the best hard pad I've used. It's not ultra slick like most hard pads, so you actually get some good control on it.

Alternately, you could check out the Artisan Shiden and Shiden Kai pads. They aren't metal or glass, they are cloth with glass woven in, so they kind of have a hard pad feel.
