OK, then should I just look for a card that has 2x DVI and 1 VGA/HDMI?

Looks like this one may be the winner, unfortunately I'm in AUS so I'm limited to whatever stock we currently have. Not as great a choice as US unfortunately.

"Benq E2420HD 24inch Wide 2ms HDMI DVI D-Sub Gloss Spker"

$169

Signal Input: HDMI, DVI-D, VGA

Good price, unfortunately I think the edges may be quite thick. I was hoping for some thin edging so it looks like 1 big monitor.

That is a great monitor for everyday use, bezels will be a problem no matter what monitor you get, you won't achieve the "1 monitor"-look unless you go with some brand new slim tv's.

For eyefinity support you can do the following: connect two of the monitors to each DVI ports on the card, or one DVI and the other HDMI, then, for the third monitor:

Get an ACTIVE DisplayPort to DVI adapter. Such as this

You now have to get the latest AMD drivers from their website, and you're ready to go.

If you can find the sapphire 6970 flex edition it allows for x3 dvi connections. Will end up cheaper then going through the hassle of getting adapters and so on.

And changing from three screens to one big screen wont really give you any more realistate. So id still recomend trying to go 3 screens.

Bevels become less obvious quite quickly but you can reduce bevels by half by putting the middle monitor in front of the two side monitors so that their bevels are hidden behind the middle monitors. Like this:

Well The display port to DVI cables are only $20, so the 6870 should cut it. Total cost $245 Australian.
