Looking for Good Backlit Keyboard

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,

I game in the dark and so it becomes a pain to see the keyboard without shifting the keyboard closer to my lit monitor. I was looking at the SideWinder x4 for it's back-lighting capabilities, but my local stores don't sell them any more (I prefer local cos' it's quick (and a bit safer)). Note: I'm NOT after a gaming keyboard, if I was, I would go higher than a X4 - I'm somewhat a purist in that regards. tongue.gif

So it leaves me with no options but to turn to online stores. I figured, if I'm going to buy from online, then might as well look more. I am guessing I don't need a full on gaming keyboard if I am only after the backlit keys, and since my knowledge of those 'other' keyboards are very limited (if any) I am turning to you OCN-ers.

Any recommendation? Price range at around a SideWinder or below would be nice - £25. Don't mind paying more for some awesome looking one.

Ta', mates.

You could try an I-Rocks KR-6820E. They have them on Newegg for $30. And if you want to buy anything decent for your computer you have to buy it online, because brick and mortar stores generally have crap selection.

Not really. They'd be nice if they cost about 1/3rd what Razer charges.

Based on US shops.

The CYBORG V.5 is being sold in stores for £35. I heard it has uneven lighting on some of 'em. I don't mind picking it up if it has 0 problems.

That is pretty steep. Sure you're looking at the right board? Put "KR-6820E" into Google Shopping and see what comes up.
