So one of the "requisites" would be a mobo with 2 PCI-E x16 slots running at x8 or x16 to do SLI hack/true SLI.
I know that tends to be pricy, but i can always save up.it's not like a month or two of savings can't do smile.gif

Honestly, i prefer Nvidia cards in most cases as well purely for tessellation/PhysX reasons. AMD should really start work on a suitable equivalent.

Agreed. My main rig uses CUDA in BOINC, video playback and AutoCAD/Photoshop CS5, and a 5770, which gaming-wise is faster than a single 450, gets way slower than that for design apps. And maybe this is bias from my part, but CUDA video looks more crisp than the AMD even on the same monitor. But yea, that'd be my personal opinion.

I agree with you, Avivo is nowhere as near polished as CUDA and the app support is laugh-worthy. True, AMD offers better value than most Nvidia cards but hey should seriously step up their game in the video rendering/tessellation/PhysX department. My old 9600GT smokes my OC'd 5750 in Mafia with PhysX enabled.

I think illl be ok. I have a back up plan. Will by an 2500k and board if i fry the one i have. So far my rig does not even get hot. the processor never gets above 48 degrees while playing games. I will say the only thing in my rig that gets hot is my stupid graphics card. Gets to 83degress playing battlefield.

So since im here question. I posted the wrong picture up when i was home last night. MY ram says its in single channel , and im running 2 1600mhz vengence 4 gig sticks. Should i i have it reading dual? I have the sticks in th eslot closes to the processor and the other 2 spots over. My board was kinda of confused me. should i have both sticks next to each other on the processor side. I know putting sticks in slot 3 and 4 will make it where i can not over clock my processor and get stuck at 3.2 x4. Also c1e support? WHat is that for.

My real specs are 4009 ghz x4, 8 gig vengence corsiar 1600mhz, 560 ti, and some crap hard drives.

Dual channel mode is recognized when you put in the RAM sticks in color-coded formations, as shown by the slots. The sticks should be in combination of slots 1+3 and slots 2+4. c1e is a power saving feature, much like Cool 'n' Quiet. It automatically reduces your multiplier when you aren't doing something CPU intensive.

The CPU temp is not what you should worry, it's the VRM's of the motherboard (socket is at the left, VRM+MOSFETS in the middle). Those are the ones that can explode no matter how cool you run an OC'd CPU, especially if they do not have a heatsink in them.

Most of the time, to get dual channel working, you must place RAM in different slots (like 1-3 or 2-4, recommended is always having a RAM stick on slot 1) instead of setting it side by side (like 1-2, 2-3 or 2-4)
