If it is this Asus :

They didn't think much of it.

TPU is not really the source for proper VGA reviews;).. as far as the Gigabyte SOC goes, it is indeed one of the best and it comes with a massive factory overclock but the Asus DCII is a better implementation and has a superior VRM, the only drawback of the Asus card is its size, but if that doesn't bother you than there's no better option available on the market.. the MSI TFIII is also a superior implementation to the Gigabyte SOC but it's noisier than the DCII, the EVGA Classified too is an excellent GTX 570 card with its GTX 580 VRM, but again the DCII will overclock better than any of the other GTX 570 high end implementations and it's also cheaper than most of them at scan.co.uk;)

Ok Canucks guy is supposed to be a Guru....what is better on the ASUS vrm wise than the Gigabyte ? That review mentions the VRM setup.

I'm not asking a rhetorical question, I am actually asking what is different on the Asus, cos I don't know, can't find details on the net.thumb.gif

The Gigabyte SOC has a 5 phase VRM(4 for the GPU and 1 for the VRAM) while the Asus DCII has an 8 phase VRM(6 for the GPU and 2 for the VRAM)... the SOC is still a monster but overclocking wise the DCII can be pushed further.

hey there i just saw this graphics card:

http://www.ebuyer.com/267587-gainward-gtx-570-1gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-displayport-hdmi-pci-e-graphics-card-4260183361756

is it any good? if so i will be getting this as i can save a lot of money on getting a case as i previously wanted the cm storm scout however the asus card will not fit so had to decide on getting another case which ended up being the corsair 500r which costed £25 more and the 675w thermaltake power supply will power this aswell?

weaker vrms compared to the Direct CU, therefore it may hinder overclocking.

Take a look at this and this, both offer superior functionality and quality and they look better(that's subjective though).
