"But... if the battery looks the same, how will they know I upgraded?"

Exactly.....And then one wonders where the elitist perception comes from? lol.biggrin.gif

With all this "hey you copied me so I'm gona sue you" is really spinning all of us right back at the dark ages. Halt the incredible rate technology has evolved in the last 40 years. All in the name of making more money..because money is SOOOO important. Drugs, alcohol apparently is the only addiction in our society. Nothing wrong with people willing to do anything for money, because that's not addiction. I'm no english major, but it doesn't take Harvard degree to understand addiction.

For that, I hope you get what you all deserve. One figure has paid the ultimate price, I just hope you suffer more.

That's because Samsung didn't go as far as to show that their phone has a fully integrated turn by turn GPS system built in that makes Garmin and Tom Tom look sad, or that you can upgrade you storage capacity greatly with a 32gb MicroSD card, or that you can use the built in Bluetooth to do things like transfer files between phone, PC, tablet etc or do things like stream media audio from the Samsung to just about any Bluetooth devise, including car stereos. Not just use it for hands free calling. Or that you can completely customize all five of your home screens with extremely useful widgets instead of just having a bunch of icons. They also didn't show that you can change the battery yourself or even buy a higher capacity battery... I put one in my Droid X2 that will last for about three days.
Maybe they should start showing more of what Android can actually do in their commercials. It irritates me when I see friends choose iPhone over Droid because they really don't know what Android is capable of. Case in point, one of friends told me the other day that she is getting the iPhone because she likes taking photos. She apparently hasn't seen what some of the new Droids can do.

Yeah that's right, the Apple ads that tried to make fun of Microsoft sucked a big one too, just like this.

Maybe people would know about some of the great things Android offers that iOS doesn't if someone would put them in an ad, really the only Android ads I notice have some ridiculous robot in them and some chick in gym clothes hitting a punching bag or something. The only people this commercial appeals to are nerds who lack self esteem so much that they feel the need to try to put down and stereotype a group of people because they like the iPhone.

The great irony in the commercial is that the people they are trying to make fun of are the same people they want to convert to Samsung buyers. If the ad told me more about what the Samsung phone offered, other than some D-bag wearing a scarf and saying how uber-huge the screen is, maybe I'd want one.

that was funny, thanks 2010.

Oh, and the GSII is awesome.

I was sad when I had to return it. I had it for about 2 months, and was just starting to break it in.

Exactly what I have been saying for a while. The Droid camp needs to stop all the futuristic robot ads and hot chicks in tights (well maybe not the hot chicks in tights) and start showing the things that their OS can do. My sister just converted to Droid from iPhone (she has been using iPhone since the original) and she was blown away with what she can do on her Droid. Now I hear her telling people that she will never go back to iPhone and that they should switch. She had no idea what Droid was capable of until she got one.

I see the same reaction here around the office. I am the one and only tech in an office of about 140 users so I end up touching just about every smartphone that anyone here gets as I help them set up their email and other apps/features that we use. I have seen a few convert to Droid and they all seem shocked, comments like "I had no idea it could do that" or "Wow, I couldn't do that on my iPhone"...

I personally don't have a Samsung, nothing against them, I actually like Samsung a lot. I use a Droid X2 which stems from the fact that I bought the original Droid X on it's release day (no standing in line) and I ended up with docking stations for the house, office and truck, so I just went to the X2 for my last upgrade so that I could still use those. My sister has a Samsung and she loves it, and it was cheaper than the iPhone too.
