***?!?!!?. Well, I have been researching and...
Motherboard Asus M5A78L-M LE AM3+ Supports CPU up to 95 W. BUT MY CPU IS 125W!!!. At the start of this post, nobody says this. Asus M5A78L-M LE AM3+ is for 95W CPU's, right? Do I have to change my MB?
In fact, the first post says "Also waiting to hear from a member if he/she ever ended up frying the board as a result of high OCing on 125W processors (LE/LX versions specifically) ." BUT IF THE "LE" MB DONT WORKS TO 125W PROCCESORS, WHY YOU SAY THAT???
I don't understan ANYTHING and I'M HYSTERICAL
The LE version being rated for just 95W is a given, that's why i never mentioned it mate. Try doing a BIOS update to the latest version. For that, try getting hold of a spare CPU. The reason you're getting that error message is because the chip is not on the official CPU support list. Also, is there a way you could return the 8120 for the 95W 8100?"Also waiting to hear from a member if he/she ever ended up frying the board as a result of high OCing on 125W processors (LE/LX versions specifically) ."
- The reason i said that is because i have a 125w quad running on my board as well. I initially got the same error as you, which was fixed by updating the BIOS.Edited by PunkX 1 - 1/6/12 at 10:29pm
