Download and install Fluidmark 1.3.1 then delete these files from the install folder "PhysX**.dll".

You might get a bit of a boost, but ? i wouldn't think to much (I'd like to see the results) as i did a test a while ago with my 2xGTX560Ti's & a 8800GT (at stock clock) as PhysX, using Mafia 2 as a benchmark = http://www.overclock.net/t/914370/the-physx-benchmarking-thread, so for me the boost wasn't worth it, cosidering the extra power consumption & a limited amount of games that actually use PhysX.
I'm thinking a GTX 460 & up for PhysX or somthing similar to what you already have.

Note: I'm also curious if using a DX11 & a DX10 = PhysX has any effect on performance.
Good luck & i hope it works out for you.

GTS250 (with 128 shaders) goes fine with your HD6950.

HD6950 is about 2% faster than a HD5870 (according to Techpowerup). So, using this as a reference, take a look at the chart below to get a general feel of how a GTS250 can help as a Physx card. Of course, this is only for Mafia II. Other Physx games will vary.

Well, the chart speaks for itself with higher cuda cores PPU is giving more FPS smile.gif

ok what settings should I use for this benchmark thing? sry new to the physx with amd thing
post #20 of 32

Select GPU PhysX and compare the score with CPU PhysX.

GPU PhysX should be much higher than the score run with CPU PhysX Hardware Acceleration.
