Their games are pirated because of three things:
1. Their stupid DRM
2. Those who pirate weren't going to buy in the first place.
3. Their games suck.
They are just in denial. Their loss, good bye to their terrible ports.

Hmm, so even Ubisoft thinks its DRM is 95% ineffective.

Wouldn't have got it anyways, every Ubi game for the past 5 years has been underwhelming.

Oh. It's Ubisoft again.

man this sucks for me coz i used to love Ghost Recon and really wanted to see the series revive itself in some way. no be exactly as it was, but still be Ghost Recon.

personally i just cant play tactical shooters on console. they require way to much precision in the moving and aiming for my conrtoller skills to feel and handle. need mouse and keyboard for that.

i can understand devs being hesitant about developing for PC on account of the huge loss of sales but still, refusing to develop for the platform is also saying "looking back at past sales, we don't think our game will sell so we're cutting our losses" ... doesnt breathe much confidence on their new title.

but that could also just be angry PC-fan banter coz we arnt getting something we want...

they are not refusing to develop this game for the pc. its coming to the pc in another form, it says it right there in the OP.

Piracy is hardly relevant when counting actual profits, but devs and publishers just use it as an excuse not to work on PC titles because they'd rather cater towards a bigger market. Look at Crysis, sold millions and was very profitable. Yerlie turns around and says "Crysis was not profitable because it was pirated a lot". There's no correlation but *******s like Yerli and the Ubisoft heads make crap up to validate their decisions. If they don't want to develop for the PC they should at least be honest instead of blaming their consumer base.

yeah they are giving us the online component only. so what. not everybody plays online. Ghost Recon: Online is not Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. the Ghost Recon games have always had an awesome single player experience, and been a real challenge. and im sure im not the only one that now and then, prefers the pace of a single player campaign rather than playing online or even co-op.

"In another form". Which looks like another poorly developed free to play shooter that will probably pale against the brighter of its Eastern counterparts. Besides, Ghost Recon has always been about the campaign, not online.

i liked it, it was just really hard. for for me it was a sort of nice change from all these faily common run and gun type shooters. required exactly what the series wanted, more tactics, more thought and planning. even then was pretty damn hard haha. but thats coz Ghost Recon was never about the fast paced action found in games like BF and CoD and Medal of Honor.

if you didnt like it fair enough, this news probably doesnt bother you and the idea of getting a free to play shooter might sound appealing. no worries. for me though i really wanted another single player campaign.

plus i dont play MMO's, but doesnt "free to play" mean it requires some kind of subscription service? or micro-transaction accounting? bit of a play on words, like its free to play, however you have to pay to keep playing. coz thats another of my hates and why i have never and probably will never play an MMO.
