Asus PA238QR. Where are you?

Thread Starter
So after much debate I've finally decided to get the Asus PA238Q x3 as new monitors for an eyefinity setup. Then I was showing this monitor to some friends on the Asus' site and seen PA238QR. This is horrible because I noticed that the difference is with the button placement that will give me much better bezel size for an eyefinity setup. My only issue now is finding these things in the US (or anywhere for that matter)! Does anyone have any idea what the story is on the R model. Trying to get this setup for Christmas so I'm getting quite desperate for finding some what to acquire these. Any info would help. Thanks guy.

Here's a link to Asus' site for it:

Found this post just from searching for the PA238Q. I just barely ordered 2 of these from the egg, (the non 'R' version). Eventually I'll get a third for eyefinity.

Anyway, I don't know if you're still looking for input on these, but I noticed on the Asus website that the photo they have for the PA238QR is the exact same photo they are using for the PA246Q (24" model), same onscreen image as well. But if you click on the gallery pictures, they're the same as the PA238Q, with the same bezel. So unless Asus did that on purpose (which I doubt), chances are that the "R" version has the exact same bezel that the "non-R" version has. Also looking at the PA238QR ( or PA246Q ) bezel closely it tapers down to the screen after the flat part. So it looks like the bezel is going to be the same size on the left/right sides as the PA238Q with the buttons. Still it would be more convenient to have the buttons on the bottom edge rather than the side.

I'd just stick with the non "R" version, especially since I don't even think the PA238QR is even available yet. I recommend either Newegg, or BH Photo & Video if ordering it online.
