Looking to build a new system

Thread Starter
Hello everyone, I am looking to build a new system but don't really want to go over, say, $2000.

My current system is
M4A88TD-V evo/usb3 Motherboard
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T processor (clocked at 4 cores 3.8fhz)
AMD Radeon HD 6850 (clocked at 900/1200)
8GB RAM (don't know the brand)
2TB HDD space (1x 1TB HDD 2x 500GB)
And I don't know really my case model

Also have the Rocketfish Universal CPU Cooler (looks identical to the Hyper 212+) but currently only one fan on it.

I don't really know whether I want to go with Intel / nVidia or AMD/ATI. I do know that the AMD video cards seem to run a good bit cooler then the nVidia ones.

Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should go for i5-2500k and a z68 motherboard (asrock gen3 for example) upgrade your GPU or wait for 7xxx if you're patient enough =P
