Hyper 212 EVO Push/Pall addition, questions on case fans

Hey all.

So I have a 500R, and I'm wanting to add a 120mm to the inside of the HDD cage in it for another intake. In addition, I'm thinking about adding a second 120mm to the 212 EVO to make it a push/pull.

Would making it a push/pull help a lot?

Also, is this fan better than the default 212 EVO ones? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103091

If so, I want to get two of those and add them as the two push/pull on the 212 EVO.

I don't even know if these questions make sense, but if you could help it's highly appreciated.

Last but not least, do I need to take the mobo/cooler out to add a Pull fan to the 212 EVO? Or can it be added with everything in the case?

Thanks in advance. thumb.gif

You can add the fan while its in the case, bit fiddly but it can be done.

The fans that come with the Hyper 212+ are top, someone was telling me in a thread before, but I'm not 100% about the ones with the EVO.

TBH from what i've seen Push/Pull doesn't make THAT much difference, 1-2 degrees maybe.

Also, try out using Push/Pull then try Pull/Push and see if you get any better temps. It may sound strange but it can help the air flow of your case, which in turn will make your cooling better smile.gif

Ugh. Ok. Well I got a 2nd Blade Master for making it Push/Pull, but what should I do with these 2 SickeFlows I already ordered? They're apparently great case fans, and I'm just trying to figure out what 2 spots I can mount them in my case. Or should I replace the two front ones the 500R came with, with the SickeFlows? I heard that those ones that come with the 500R aren't too powerful. Hmm. Ugh, wish I didn't order 3 fans now, haha.

try sending them back? if the box i unopened I don't see why there would be a problem.

If not, try putting them in your case as you said. From what i can tell that case should have PLENTY of spaces.

Try setting a creating good air flow in your case by putting exhaust fans at the top so the warm air can easily escape

Eh, not worth the hassle to send a $7 fan back, honestly. I'll just figure out somewhere to put them within the case. I have 2 120mm intakes in the front, 1 200mm intake in the side; 2 120mm exhausts in the top, 1 120mm exhaust in the back currently. Where do you think it would be best to put these?

use them as case fans, replace the fans that are in the case
