Okay I Have almost finish up choosing the right components for my new build here is the following please feel free to tell me if I should switch Ram or motherboard, also my other concern is motherboard if it will be compatible with Ivy Bridge.

Note: I have not put a HDD on there because of the prices of them being so high right now so the total of this build is $1,248.18 without HDD so let me know if I need to adjust anything and if this is a good build! Thank you guys in advanced.

Case: Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T Steel

PSU: Seasonic X750 Gold 750Watts

CPU: I7 2600k - Wondering if I should just get the 2500k from Microcenter to wait for Ivy Bridge

MotherBoard: ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68

Ram: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB - Card to hold me until 7xxxx series

SSD: Kingston HyperX SSD 120GB

if u building for gaming purposes, 2500k is a beast.
micro center always got a deal with 2500k, i got mine for $329 with asus p8z68-v pro

wut kinda games u play, as far as i know, 560 ti can play everything in de market on mx-high settings.

r u lukin into full tower or mid tower?

8gb ram, do not go more than that

ur psu will vary on wut grahics card ur getting and if ur going 2 b doing SLI

do not get new HDD, get OEM, prices are off the roof atm.

I will plan on gaming and doing some editing. I will be playing Battlefield 3 as to MW3 etc.. I love good graphics and I can't stand playing on my PS3 anymore lol, so for graphics card I want one that can handle future gaming in 1080p so crossfire is good as well sli or just a single card. Ah okay so OEM 1TB which one do you recommend? 8GB of ram is good as well as on shopping cart I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428.

If I was you, I'd grab a 6870, or a 560ti if your looking for good fps, but don't mind bumping down the AA in games like BF3.... if you want everything max get a 6950+ or 570/580.

Ram, a 4 or 6gb kit will do you just fine, you wont even touch the 4gb of ram with 2 games running, music, and google chrome+100000 tabs so i'd say 4's good but rams cheap so its up to you.

HDD, they all doubled in price so I would cheap out till they go back down, it will probably take months though.

Good luck on your build!

Edit: Just bought a 6870, couldn't be more happy with it, 90 frames (I think its capped) in multiplayer maxed out @1080p on modern warfare 3 aka mw2.5

on the link I was showing it was the G.Skill Ripjaws X Series Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL. Ah okay so one 580 should be good for 2-3 years than? do you know if there are any offers on them; also I do have a Frys around me so I can definitely take advantage of their OEM drives. I didnt know HDDs went up so high lol. Okay and for motherboards what's a good one for 2600k Gigabyte or Asus

Okay So far this is what I have on my newegg shopping cart:

I7 2600k
Seasonic X750 GOLD
G.Skill Sniper 8GB ( Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2 ) - Let me know if there are better models than this one
Motherboard - I don't know yet I am looking at Maximus iV board but than again I can find a cheaper board and put that money for Graphics Car so I need help choosing a good motherboard that will be good overclock have good onboard sound card or whatever.
Graphics Card: I might get a used one from OCN or something to hold on to the 7x series
Case: I have Antec 902 at my house but if you can find me a better case please let me know
HDD: N/A will go to Microcenter to find a cheap hard drive
SSD: Will buy one from MicroCenter as well maybe a 60GB one unless you guys can suggest a great 120GB SSD
