Trying to decide on new GPU

Hi! I currently own a 9800GT and I think it needs an upgrade smile.gif So far I have found 3 graphics cards that interested me, all of them GTX 570's. I would like to keep my price below EUR400 and purchase it from a local store(Listed Below) however I am willing to spend a little more if the performance is worth it.

The three cards that I found where

GTX 570 Phantom : http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=449
ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II : http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGTX570_DCII2DIS1280MD5/
EVGA GTX 570 DS HD : http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=012-P3-1577-AR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw=

The Asus is 20EUR more expensive than the other two. Anyone knows which of these cards is better?

Also, if there are any cards that are better from the stores below(preferably Nvidia), please tell me smile.gif

Stores Available :

http://www.ultramalta.com/
http://www.simarksupplies.com/
http://www.scanmalta.com/eshop/components/graphics-audio/graphics-cards.html

Thanks smile.gif

I would get the 570 DirectCU II. They seem to be a performer while staying cool.

the asus has great cooling, but isn't a good option if you're planning on using SLI later.

Not sure about SLI...I don't really like to have 2 GPU in my PC(Heating and Noise).... I would like to be able to play BF3 on Ultra at 1920x1080....will the cards above be capable of that?

All of those cards will run whatever you want.

In my case, single = the asus one, sli the gainward one biggrin.gif

And yes the card will be able to run any game you want with very high settings plus AA depending on the game and if you want to play the witcher 2 just make sure disable ubersampling, thats all you need to know tongue.gif

Is it worth waiting for the 6XX series or should I just go ahead with a 570?

Also which one is best for overclocking, the Asus or EVGA?

My graphics card is awesome and I would recommend it for single, but for SLI the gain-ward or EVGA.

the asus will oc better out of all of them because of the massive cooler.

umm I would suggest to buy a 570 (gain now (single) and then when the 6xx's come out grab another 570 for sli. but if you were to do this, I would recommend the evga.

are you getting a new cpu and mobo? you will be bottlenecked by your cpu in bf3.

I will be getting a new CPU but I will do so most probably next year(close to 2013)...\

Any opinions on whether I should wait for the 600 Series or not? From what I read the improvements will be mainly on efficiency and I think that till I get the 670(wait for it to become a little cheaper) I think it would be summer...

Just checked how much money I have available for the GPU and found out I have enough for a GTX580....so its basically between the GTX 570 Phantom and the EVGA GTX 580(http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=015-P3-1580-AR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw=)

Is the GTX 580 worth 100EUR more over the GTX 570?
