do what I posted above toxi, it sounds like something is shorting your pc out, probably a lose connection or something metal stuck underneath your motherboard tray.

Im fairly certain its this and not a bad setting, 1.36v for 4.0ghz is unheard of.

are you sure? becaus i have seen other thread about it..
well if thats the case i will wait to do so..
becaus iam switching this month to swiftech watercooling and i would do it when i have my watercooling..

i followed that guide..it's decent :thumb.gif: do you have the 8-pin power connector plugged into your motherboard? 1.32v should be enough for a 4.0 OC with sandy bridge..even a power-hungry chip..imo

well that in itself is an indication that something is wrong, im no electrician but I know I shouldnt get electric shock if I touch my pc case.

My adivce to you is to take everything apart, and rebuild your pc on top of your motherboard box. Once you have done this try turning it all back on again, the motherboard box is the cheapest option to build your pc on.

Why not just set the multiplier to 45X? That should be an almost guaranteed OC with that chip, without even touching the voltages.
