MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II compatabiltiy issues with EK WB on EVGA x58 Classfied Sli MB

Just bought a really nice MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II and there is a compatibility issue with the EK motherboard waterblock on my EVGA x58 Classified sli motherboard.

Basically the VR heatsinks on the 560ti hang slightly over the edge of the card as it is sort of a clip. see pic bellow.

300

From what i noticed about my previous graphics card on there is that card itself sits almost flush against the EK WB.

478

So i'm just wondering if anyone has had compatibility / height issues with graphic cards before with this waterblock.
Id rather not cut the thing as I dont have the tools to do so.

Any ideas?

Man that sucks...

My best bet would be a water block on the Card itself, that would remove the heatsync from the VR's?

OR remove the Heatsyncs... it can't make THAT much of a difference, (but if you do that i'd get a 120mm fan to blow directly at them to compensate - Had to do that with my 285's the VR heatsyncs made it impossible to put the water block on, so i HAD to remove them..)

yeah the card is the OC edition actually.

I had sort of two idea but not sure it its worth it.

1. I always put the graphics card in the first slot but if theres room i could move it down to the second last spot. Only things is then i'm restricting my airflow cause of PSU being right beneath it.

2. I found some VRAM heatsinks from an old Artic Cooling GPU set for ati 4850 / 9800gt . I could get some thermal tape and switch the MSI ones with those..

This is the sink

600

would this tape work to make it stick on there?

Ahh Yes that, I was worried it would hit a part of my Mobo too. Too bad for you, it did. =\
