Multiple Monitors - Page 2

You need to fix your links. None of them go to any monitors.

Thanks, lets try that again.

For me to do this setup on the monitors would this work. Would thisbe everything I need to do it? And are these monitors good? Or are there better ones with smaller bessels for a good price?

That monitor does not have a DVI port, so you can either find a different monitor, or an active mini display port to HDMI adapter.
I would find a different monitor, I can't seem to find many Mini DP > HDMI adapters.

I don't think that the XFX stand is necessarily worth it, but that's up to you. tongue.gif

Unless ATI have sorted out the tearing problems when you run three monitors on different types of ports, then you should use all displayport outputs.

The 11.11 drivers were supposed to sort the tearing problem, but instead of sorting it, the tearing just moved from my outer monitors to the middle one. I bought 2 more displayport to DVI adapters because I couldn't put up with the tearing, and the problem is solved now... no more tearing.

What stand would you suggest?

And could you suggest a monitor for me? Sorry, I'm really new to this and you can see this with my rookie mistakes smile.gif

Doc; you're saying use the display ports from the X-Fire? How would this work if there is only 2 display ports for the set of 2?

If your cards only have 2 displayports, then just buy a single active displayport - DVI or HDMI adapter... it's all you can do.

Like I say, ATI said they'd sorted the tearing problem with the release of the 11.11 drivers, but it didn't sort the problem on my setup. Maybe it's because I'm using non-reference Asus cards, I don't know... maybe you won't have a problem. I did, but luckily, I had enough displayports for the 3 monitors.

Search Google for your card manufacturer and model and eyefinity tearing and see what you can find. It wasn't really bad on my setup, but it was noticeable and I didn't like it.

As for stands, I really can't suggest one, because I don't use one.
