Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3

Thread Starter
I have this board and well it ran fine for about 5 or 6 months, one day I came home and try to start it up and it would just keep restarting it would run for about 5 or 6 seconds and reboot. I took everything apart and tried to reset the bios via jumper, I tried going down to the basic setup 1 ram stick no hd dvd drive. I tried to restart won't boot. I then Tried another powersupply, memory. Still won't boot, I then tried to pull the cmos battery out and tried the cmos jump and it would fire up and run, I tired to shut it down and then insert the cmos again and won't boot. I have put in a RMA but would hate to have to deal with this shipping and rma tickets and the whole jazz, I can't get to bios screen so don't think I have an option to flash the bios or reset to default settings. Just looking here to see if any of uber computer slayers out there know what could been going on.

It seems all gigabyte boards tend to do this in the p67 / z68 series. Supposedly this has been fixed, but reading reviews of various gigabyte boards all show this issue. I'm sure its only a small % but enough to make enough noise to make me stay away from gigabyte boards at the moment.

The only solution is an RMA. Make sure your new board is the next generation. That is, the one you get back is "revision 4.0" or at least one model revision newer.
