Sager NP5160 vs. ASUS A53SV-NH51

Thread Starter
I'm trying to decide between these two and I want to make sure I'm getting the best of the two for the best price.

The Sager is at XoticPC for $700, the Asus at Newegg for $600. They seem to have the same stats minus the Sager having a higher res. screen I believe. Is there anything I would be missing out big time by choosing the Asus?

Asus

Sager

I'll be using it for around 2 hours of note-taking per day for college, and also for gaming when not busy. The Sager is pretty much maxing out how much I want to pay for it. Games I would be wanting to play are mainly RTS games like Shogun 2, and hopefully some other modernish games at least on low quality.

Thanks for any replies, they are truly appreciated.

The Asus should be just as good, minus the high-res screen. IMO the extra $100 for 1600x900 is worth it, but it's all personal preference. 1366x768 isn't too bad on 15", but 1600x900 is a good res (not too small/big). If you want something with a bit more GPU power, this Lenovo has an i3-2330M and Nvidia 555M for $640. http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:category.details?current-catalog-id=12F0696583E04D86B9B79B0FEC01C087&current-category-id=F41BC8E1656C5F85171FBDB172571912&action=init
