Theres a printer for you.

For speakers, I would recommend:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-652
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=310-300

Just get you some 16 gauge speaker wire and a 3.5mm trs cable and you are good to go.

They are passive bookshelf speakers. They are going to provide much better sound then some cheap powered desktop speakers from the likes of logitech or creative. As for speaker wire, this should do:

http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-Gauge-Speaker-Sequential-Markings/dp/B004M4CSGO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322264999&sr=8-1

A separate sound card would also help you take full advantage of this setup. A cheap Asus Xonar DS or DG would be decent if you do not already have one.

Also, a separate subwoofer down the road such as one of the dayton subs on partsexpress would be a good addition if you feel the bass is lacking.

Edit:

One thing I should make you aware of is the size of these.

11-13/16" (H) x 7-1/16" (W) x 6-7/16" (D)

These are much larger speakers than some equivalently priced computer speakers from logitech. This allows them to have a larger woofer for producing better frequency response. So if you do not have the room on your computer desk, this could be a problem.
