Still a work in progress, but here's a lil spoiler for you guys. wink.gif

Things I will be changing/adding:

* Still waiting on replacement sleeved cables by ICEMODZ. The set that arrived had wrong connectors so I had to ship then back so he could fix em up. frown.gif (Not ICEMODZ fault...damn Corsair AX850 & AX860 are different.)
* I will be adding pass-through fittings on the motherboard, as well as a 'floor piece' next to PSU with two other pass-through fittings there. (Pretty much how Fakebloods build is) thumb.gif
* Probably gonna buy a shelf to put the Aquaduct 240 on. Not sure....
* I'm also thinking on removing the plate above the PSU, but not 100% sure yet.

Hopefully I can get this done soon for you guys!

cheers.gif

Got the side window cut out and put together... its a very tight fit with the radiator on the bottom and a bar along the top, i have to force it close but it stays shut so I'm not complaining -- still have a ways to go, meaning 880(ti??) and a Broadwell or Haswell-H processor to come out first because I can complete the build (putting current parts into this rig for a steam machine) ... but I will post some pics of current progress so far -

Hey guys! I just picked up a used FT03B and am looking to move from my Silverstone Temjin TJ08B-E modded build to the FT03B after summer (August). I am brainstorming some ideas and wanted to bounce some ideas off you guys. What type of mods would you like to see? What colour scheme would be great?

Please be sure to quote this so I get an email notification smile.gif

Best regards,

My 780 Lighting temps are preety much the same as they where in my Corsair 540 so even an open dump style cooler works well in this case.

Here is an example of my Lighting Cooler -

Build log 1: Alpha smile.gif

As I wait for the remaining WC components for my loop, and of course wire and sleeve, I've started working on the Mini's aesthetic. Used a router with a carbide bit, and created a wood frame as a track system. Ended up far better than I planned, and not a single scratch! I'll share pics as I go smile.gif Still waiting on the Polycarbonate for my windows.

Hey everyone,

Been wanting to build in a ft03 mini for like forever now and finally got a deal for a used set.

It will be very kind of anyone to maybe have a picture or two of the cut you made to fit a gtx 780 or any long gpu. And maybe some measurement?

Secondly, will you be able to use a 140mm fan after the modification?

Many thanks in advance!

For example your gpu is mounted vertically but your classifieds fins face horizontal. Compared to say a asus dcu2 where the fins would be going vertically with your case, which I though would have more of a tendency to blow air more bottom to top of an ft03 because of the gpu and case orientation? Where as a classified acx or lightning cards fin orientation would blow the heat more front and back rather bottom to top?

Hello - sorry for the late reply. I wish I could go back and test the ASUS DCUII when I had it. I also believe the orientation of the fins have some impact to the flow of heat in the case as you have illustrated. However, I still think there needs to be some air vents in the side window / panel to keep the temps down to some extent. I guess with the fins oriented vertically my temps could be even better.

That external air duct thing looks great.

I have had both the original short cable kit and the new flat short cable kit. I've posted a picture a few pages back. It's a must for this case and it only cost me 15 GBP.
