ooh, that one looks great biggrin.gif

That phantom would never work on the mini as the top part would either be complete blocked by the front panel or would not even allow you to close the case

/Edit

found a review on that card:

It is just like the reference blower type cooler for the 960

MSI GTX960 2GD5: 242mm x 111mm

Gainward OC (this one you looking for from post above): 247mm x 112mm

Gainward Phantom: 247mm x 112mm
and
"The heatsink measures 210mm long (the PCB itself is just 170mm long), 65mm wide and just 15mm tall"

You sure that phantom wont fit in Ft03 mini?

I'm still asking about this Phantom because it's quiet, got low temps and quite good performance.

Of course I'm looking forward for any opinions and this phantom is not my final card, I'm really happy you give me these advices smile.gif

cheers!

everything under 255 mm in length will fit just fine.

The problem with the phantom is that due to the cooler height, it will have a poor air intake causing bad temperatures. A standard 2 slot card have about 1~1.7 cm gap from the card to the inside of the front panel, so the phantom that is almost a 3 slot card will have some issues

Ach I understand! Ok, so I've checked MSI GTX960 2GD5 and I think it's the best choice - I can buy it near my home location.

I heard that one (2GD5) has got nice temp also and it's quiet too.
You think it's the best choice and temps in FT03 Mini will be good?

Palit GeForce GTX960, 4GB GDDR5 <- you see, 4GB DDR5 and simillar chassis to GTX960 2GD5
I think it the best performance/price - its cooling system could be a little bit louder then 2GD5 but hey, 2x more rams make different. What do you think? I swear, it's my last question about GPU : D

So the main question is: MSI GTX960 2GD5 2GB or this PALIT GTX960 4GB

Maybe I can do something inside chassis to make air cooling better? I dont want to cut holes in case anyways xd

Thanks for answers, really you help me a lot smile.gif

I'd make a guess that without cutting the best option is to use the SFX-L Silverstone power supply with a 120mm fan, that way it pulls in more air that gets tossed out the top. Plus a vortex-shaping pull fan on the rad with a lot of airflow (ie, the AP121 is out) so the air will go up in a narrower path (instead of getting tossed towards the side walls) and preferably with a lot of pressure. Like the NF-F12 Industrial 2000rpm version. Use a non-vortex shaping 140mm fan as the main intake so it scatters the air a bit more wherever the rad isn't in the way, that way there's more air that goes nearer the intake side of the GPU blower. It will then be able to take more air that didn't pass through the rad to cool it as well as take it out of the case, and likely with less effort and noise from the blower.

I dont think that there will be that much difference between the cards in both acoustics and temperatures because the cooling components are almost identical

I would buy the 4gb version because recent games are just like chrome eating ram like crazy, but if the budget does not allow it, there is only about 3FPS difference in games between the 4gb and the 2gb

RAM: 8/16GB DDR3
PSU: BeQuiet! 630W L8
SSD: Samsung EVO 500GB/ BX100 CRUCIAL 256GB (I'm not sure which one I'm gonna get for now)

And noooooow my question is:

I wanna take this FT03 Mini (because of its design and size) but I want XFX R9 270 2GB/256-bit Double Dissipation - is this one is good choice? I want something on 256bit, many of GeForce cards about this price have got 128bit...

I want good performance (this R9 give me 30fps on ULTRA in Witcher 3....) but in the other hand I want as low as possible GPU temp and low noise... with R9 or simillar performance... (and price ;D)

Any ideas? This on thing stopping me from buying whole conf... I'm really looking for Yours advices... smile.gif

Cheers!

P.S: Standard bottom fan is silent/ efficient or swap it with Noctua NF-A9 will give me better results? Maybe somewhere I can add more fan from noctua to make it low RPM and be the most efficient?

//edit: maybe ASUS GeForce GTX960 2048MB which is dedicated for mITX? or better one will be EVGA GTX960 which has got, I think, better cooling system?

EVGA ->

I just built a z170 rig in the ft03 mini and can confirm that the cryorig c1 fits. I also went with the asus gtx970 mini. I have only ran 3d mark and the unigine valley benchmarks thus far but it only got to high 70s.

Just ordered a Silverstone FT03 case from Amazon last night & will have it by tomorrow. Got a question of the case right side panel, is it interchangeable with the left side panel? I don't like the the left side panel with a vent hole & planning on getting a side panel without a hole & if it's interchangeable do Silverstone even sell one?
