Just checked a close image of your PSU. You can actually open the PSU, unscrew the PSU electrical socket & turn it around so your PSU cable is going the opposite (down).

Opening the PSU will void my warranty, I'll try cutting the metal before doing that. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'd do it if it weren't for the warranty issue.

Why not just get a new cable that bends the other way?

You don't even have to open the PSU I guess. I think you can unscrew the socket from the outside & turn it around.

The power socket may be on the same board as the switch, this would make flipping it not as easy as it seems.

Other power supplies have filters on the plug making flipping harder.

yah when i gutted an old PSU, the plug is on a PCB with filters and surge protection on it so flipping it is pretty much impossible.

Good suggestion, but according to this thread the cables are hard to find, even though Silverstone says some are available. I think it will be much simpler to make a small cut in the case and be done with it.

Has anyone considered adding a large panel to split the interior of the FT03 into two chambers? I'm thinking of adding a plate behind the video card that runs all the way down to the top of the PSU "cage", basically sealing the video card area where my 80mm fans can help cool the 970. And in case the 970 Strix open cooler fans spin, the warm air wouldn't affect the CPU, making a blower-style graphics card unnecessary. Is this crazy talk? Here's a doodle.

It is a very good idea. I have also wondered about it, but with my setup, I never needed to give it more consideration.

If you do this, please post pictures. Clear plastic could make it almost invisible.

I plan on trying it with a "recyclable fabricated prototype" (also known as a piece of cardboard) and will see what the temps look like.

with the split chamber idea, your intake for the HSF is the exhaust of your PSU... not saying it wont work, just saying you should be aware.
