In my case im using ddr4 which runs alot cool (less voltage). I'll likely put that fan back it. I'll sort it out tonight.

I got it put together. Bonus pick of the setup

I've been thinking of putting together a custom WC loop for just a gpu inside of the FT03. A ways back in this thread I've seen a 2x80mm rad used. Would one of those be enough to cool a rx 480? Id use an EK full cover block, a black ice 2x80mm rad, and a pump. Am i missing anything? Would the rad being lower than the GPU be a problem?

If a 120mm AIO radiator can cool a 130W CPU, don't see why 160mm cannot cool a 150W TDP card. Also, elsewhere, a 120mm AIO radiator is used to cool 325W GPUs (980 TI, Fury/X, etc...).

Amazing build!
I'm considering using the same power supply in my build.Do you think the cables connected to psu are going to cause any issues with an optical drive ?
The cable from sf600 is really stiff. That's blocking the bracket for HDD and CD-ROM. That's why I'm planning to change the psu cable with the mod sleeve cable

So earlier today i borrowed my brother's Gigabyte 970 twin turbo, to do a thermals/acoustics test in my case.

To fit the gpu i had to remove the psu, bottom fan and the ram sticks from the motherboard. All so i could feed it in through the bottom hole and twist it around the cpu cooler.

I also had to bend the bottom plate slightly to get the gpu over the lip, this can be seen next to the straight line of the fan.

With everything in place I recorded the following results:
Power % Temp RPM
118 64 2337
100 62 2260
92 60 2190
62 61 900
I don't know what the ambient is but it's roughly 23

Using manual fan speed control I found most of the fan noises to be unpleasantly buzzing but at exactly 64%(2336rpm) and around the 77%(2747rpm) areas, the fan could hardly be heard above the movement of the air.

Overall i found the sound to be not much quieter the my evga 750 ti sc.

So the whole point of this is, if I underclock to keep fan speeds low, should I upgrade to a reference RX 480 4gb or the Sapphire 480 nitro+ 4gb, which will be quieter?

Silly rx480 died on me so I bought a 1070 to replace it. Good opportunity to get a nice picture of it.

How are the temps on that card?
