[CNN] New climate study deals blow to skeptics - Page 16

i dont know, im in MA, and it was 70 degrees yestarday. i blamed global warming when i realized i started my car to warm it up when it was already hot outside, lol.

on a more serious note, if you truly believe that the millions of cars, plants, and every other thing that produces harmful gasses is having minimal to no impact on our climate, you might as well go be a relgious zealot while ur at it

I am in Minnesota...I drive the long way home from work every day in an effort to help kick start this global warming bit.

The environment spent millions of years removing this carbon from the atmosphere and putting it under ground. Inside of a 100 years we humans have put a large chunk of it back...how could that not effect something.

tell me what happens when you put heat and co2 in the air.

the argument is only how much we are actually contributing to the global warming.

since we dont have a world model for temperature or an accurate reading of the entire planet's temperature, you cant really say.

but we are adding heat and co2 into the air which will increase the temperature of a colder medium

I dont know if you have the full picture of the damaging scale ,It is not only co2.

We also have to add the effect of the following :

Methane (CH4)

Gases from cattle and agricultural activity

Nitrous Oxide (N2O):

From bacterial denitrification,it is increasingly abundant with the use of nitrogen fertilizers. It absorbs UV rays. wich causes a toll in the rising temepartures.

CFCs or chlorofluorocarbons:

One gram of CFC gasproduce an effect greater than 15000 times a gram of CO2, but as the amount of CO2 is much greater than that of other gases, this may go unnoticed.
CFCs are a family of gases used in many applications, the main industry of refrigeration and aerosol propellants. Are also present in insulation. CFCs have an ability to survive in the atmosphere, 50 to 100 years. Over the years reach the stratosphere where they are dissociated by ultraviolet radiation, releasing chlorine in its composition and starting the process of ozone destruction.

We may also add,the effect of several gases in wich nobody has researched the effects on the atmosphere.

Do you know what is Acid Rain?

That is the problem, you are not associating pollution and Global Warming.

The whole concept of Global Warming these days is vastly being related to pollution. thumb.gif

what are you even talking about? when did i say anyhing else then temperature?

you need to learn how to read. my posts were about temperature. you quoted a response on the relation between emissions and temperature. no where did i even give my position on the subject. sounds like you are trying to gain some sort of confidence by trying to sound smart.

oh i should try that too! watch me talk about carbon dissolve rates....lmao
