As far as gaming goes, nope, don't think there will be any major or noticeable bottlenecks between the GPU and CPU. Most (or all) games nowadays only use up to 2 CPU cores anyway.

If you can just try to get 1600mhz RAM apart from that all looks fine

The i3 2100 has HT, so it has 4 threads.

You could throw a GTX580 on that build, and not bottleneck. I would go for some DDR3-1600 though.

Also, the board you picked will NOT take an unlocked CPU and overclock it (in the future). So keep that in mind, that you'll be stuck with locked CPU's with that board.

same dude,i upgraded my cpu to core i3 2120(2x 3.30GHz) and my MOBO supports only DDR3-800,DDR3-1066,DDR3-1333
thats where the problem lies(this is just a budget gaming pc,and a proof that everybody can build a high end gaming rig without spending alot of money)

1600 will downclock to 1333 anyway, probably with tighter timings. wink.gif My motherboard only "technically" supports 1333 as well. That's all the SB IMC is rated for. I've ran DDR3-2250 out of mine.

So I'll bet 1600 sticks will run at 1600 on that board. If they don't...oh well. You'll have the higher end sticks if you ever swapped to a different board then. The difference in price on RAM these days is negligible, so I'd rather get the better stuff now personally.
