I just bought my RX360 the other day.. hasn't shipped yet since it's on backorder, and backorder usually means it's selling good/worth it. I haven't seen a single complaint about the RX360, i've seen many about the H100. The worse case i've seen the RX360 pull 10C lower temps on full load then the H100, it is hand downs the best.. but it's also 2.5x the price after shipping.
I actually ordered my RX360 with black tubing. Black tubing looks amazing in the 800D in my opinion, and black will match with anything. I see more and more people going to black tubing... green/blue/red tubing can produce great eye candy if you pick your mobo/ram/gpu based on it's color.. but I don't know what color scheme my next mobo/ram is going to be, and if I got green tubing.. and then a motherboard/ram with a blue scheme it would look bad. Black will always work and look good.

Yeah I was planing on white tubing in my phantom thumb.gif

Hey guys, I know I said I wasn't going to post on this for a while but I thought of 3 questions:

1. If This radiator is mounted to the top of a HAF X would it be better to have the fans push or pull.

2. I have 3 selections of thermal paste Arctic silver 5, the stuff that came with the CM Hyper 212+ or the stuff that comes with this.

3. If I use Arctic Silver 5 then how is it "properly cured?" I have looked online and all I find is just use your computer normally. Is this right?

No experience on #1 and cant compare with your other selection but I have had good luck with shin etsu x23 7783D. It lowered temps by 2c compared to artic silver 5, so its not massive but it did make a difference. I think AS5 is easier to apply since its like a thinner compound. It takes somthing like 200 heat cycles but after about a week or 2 if you log temps you will probably see a drop. I forgot what my numbers were but it will get cooler after about 1-2 weeks

I believe the stock fans are better in pull, I also believe it's a tight fit with the haf-x. (need to verify that)

Don't know what comes with the 212+, it probably sucks though. The stuff that comes with the kit sucks, so I guess that leaves AS5.

Use it normally, people say 200 hours cure time.

So when burning in AS5 would it be best to run BOINC or to not? (would BOINC speed it up or slow it down?) Running primegrid and milkyway@home right now.

Wouldn't do anything special, just run it like usual.

Yeah you just need to use it like normal, wont do anything stressing the cpu, what it needs is the heat cycle rather than sustained heat. The slightly higher temp that it would have till its broken in is just a few degrees and should effect your overclock, if it does then the OC might have been to close to unstable to begin with. With your planned cooling you will ok, not like your using a single 120 biggrin.gif

I love the RX360. One of the best on the market. I'm running two in push-pull. All my CPU and GPU blocks have an application of IC7 Diamond 24 Carat. So far the temps are decent but I want to see what I can tweak to get the temps temps a little better. You'll love the RX360 man! smile.gif
