I am guess all you do is gaming?

I have no idea, I just compared with Sandy bridge, the clock speed is the same, not better, I don't see have ivy is better just because it uses lower power.

No, think of it as the 2600k price bracket.

The i5-3470T is similar to i3-2100.

If no "bulldozer" happens I am getting a 3770K.

I think it was stated somewhere before that the p67&z68 will support IB, as they are 1155 socket and the same p67&z68 motherboards are compatible with bios updates (I think the latest bios for the MIVE brings IB support, I haven't updated mine yet tongue.gif)

However I think I remember reading somewhere (on this forum as well), that Intel will also be releasing a Z77 or something chipset to bring what was indicated as "full compatibility & function" for IB users.
Personally I think it was just a way of updating the chipsets so motherboard manufacturers can make more money with the newer chips being released. That doesn't mean your MIVE will work any worse than the other boards though.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see, what the new chipset/mobos bring to the table closer to the IB release date.

Cheers.

Better save your money for Z77 chipset... so you will be compatible with both Ivy and Sandy, as well as have new PCI-E and a few other features. From what I see all of these CPU's are 1155skt and forward compatible with Z77.. as well as currently compatible with Z68.

2011skt should be for 6+ core models if im not mistaken.
