configuring my new kingston hypers

Thread Starter
I recently replaced the modules in my sig rig for kingston hyperx 2000mhz CL8. It boots straight away but with the old ram settings appropriate to my old modules (8-8-8-24 and 1600mhz). If I bump up the multiplier by 1 increment it goes up to the advertised 2000mhz of my new modules, but it fails to POST. DDR voltage is 1.66 and qpi is 1.355 (both already listed in the 'red' danger zone according to the config screen). What might I need to tune to get it to boot with the maximum advertised clock rating?

Someone else having same issue

Seems the advertised 1.65v module rating is bull****!? Can't believe they're getting away with false marketting like that.

make sure subtimings are on auto.. what multiplier for memory are you using? what is your uncore multiplier?

try uncore@ 2xmemory multi or 2x mem multi +1

920 imc might not be soo good frown.gif
