TX10 Now Shipping - Page 21

Might I offer a suggested layout for the TX10-H that has been rolling around in my own dream wishlist?

Relocate the motherboard tray to the top cooling chamber, allowing for windows on top and both sides, thus creating a "hardware on a pedestal" type effect. The panel designs could, presumably, also be used with little or no modification in the "PC within a pedestal" I've often seen requested.

Incorporate mounts for supermounts and/or mounts for the already available side mounts, on both sides of the centre chamber, perhaps even mounted to the existing ventilated doors. These mounts could then also presumably become an option for other TX10 cases.

Incorporate a PSU layout similar to the TX10-V but relocated centrally down the rear panel.

Keep the lower chamber "as is" allowing for 4u rackmounts or the standard radiator / HDD mounts.

I believe this design to be "optimal" with minimal modification of the existing design... but whatever the final design I've no doubt it will be as epic and desirable as its predecessors! thumb.gif

I would say have the PSU's slightly on one side and have flex bays on the other side of the rear - that way an additional radiator could be fitted in there, and also some ugly bay devices could be mounted there like fan controllers that aren't often changed. Alternatively you could have the same backplates that you do in the TX10-D, but maybe now you'd have room for 3, i.e. a 4 psu strip or 8u of rackspace, or a modified version that could hold a radiator.

The top motherboard area in addition to the top window could have small windows on the side as well, or you could have an option for side mount radiators in that compartment too (maybe not for HPTX but for EATX boards it could work).

This way you could have:
- 2x480's in the motherboard compartment sides
- 2 360's in the back 4u plates
- 2x140.9 in the sides (doors)
- 2x560's in the front flex bays!

Having given it a bit more thought I think the idea of changeable back plates for the rear panel (psu/rackmount/rad mount) as opposed to a "one size fits all" approach would be a better one and appeal to a wider audience, as would the option of vented fan mount side covers for the top motherboard chamber... we must remember the air coolers amoung us after all! tongue.gif

Realistically speaking, to turn a TX10 into a TX10-H could be a simple as mounting the motherboard tray on the top rear 4u cover and offering widowed panels for the top chamber, this could even create a TX10-X4 if someone were to mount those panels / trays in a TX10-D (did anyone say "server farm"?!)

Now THAT kind of overkill is what OCN is all about! biggrin.gif

Subbed!!

Just wondering how things are going? Sounded like there was a lot going on at The Labs and not. Want to make sure everything is okay.

I was also wondering if there was an update on the website/TX10-H? Is the TX10-H going to be a single or double (or is there going to be a TX10-HD)? biggrin.gif

BTW: Had to change my shorts after I read the stats and saw the pictures of this case! Can't wait until I get a job so that I can get one of these beauties and all the bling! ... Also, found out about CaseLabs after watching Singularity Computers CaseLabs Magnum TH10 case review. And how well constructed and easy to install the cases were when he did his Singularity Beast II build log. Just wanted to give him some credit, and say keep up the incredible engineering!thumb.gif

Do you have a link to the review - I'd like to add it to the reviews list.

I'll let Jim answer for sure about the TX10-H, but it sounds like it's still in development. I think CaseLabs are busy because the cases are doing so well smile.gif

Do you have a link to the reviews list? I would really like to read what people are saying about the different cases so that I can figure out if I would want to get something different.

Good looking out! Saves me from having to find all of them. It's hard to do on a phone.

Just saw that the websites been updated! SWEET!

is it possible to get some visual of the insides of the THX-V model, all the pics seem to be of the dual MB option. Only view of the vertical model is just the back panel, would like to see the insides and see how the spacing behind the MB and everything is like.

Both the TX10 models have the double wall construction that is unique to their design. It allows wiring and tubing to be fully concealed from either side of the case:
