Dumb question(s) to either Jim or Stren
1) What is the measurement in mm's from top to bottom of the cooling bay (at its lowest spot - where that frame piece is I presume)? is it at least 180? tall enough to get a fan in?
2) Has anyone actually tried to mount a 180.3 rad to the bracket while installed in case?
3) If so, does the rad hit the bottom of the cooling bay?
Bear in mind the photos show the mount touching the bottom of the heat chamber. This is because it's not properly attached so it's held there by gravity. In reality there is 15mm of space if I push the mount all the way to touching the top of the chamber.
1 - 206mm by my measurements
2 - I don't have one, I got the mount intending to order one, but when I saw how tight it was I went with 140.4s
3 - Not sure but it seems unlikely - the dimensions of 180mm triple rads are as follows:
Alphacool 180.3 XT45: Dimensions (LxWxH): 585 x 182 x 45mm
Magicool 180.3 Slim: 580 x 180 x 35 (mm)
So as long the mount is centered which it would be then you should be fine according to the 206mm dimension
