Hey there,

This will be my first ever Intel build and I just purchased a i5-2500k. Any great mobo deals anyone noticed for BF/CM? I want to keep it in the $100~ dollar range. Basically I want to be able to stream my games I play which I cant do well now with by 940 deneb as my FPS drops to unplayable while streaming. I have GTX 470 currently for video. Would also like some help with Ram as well. Have been reading Sandy bridge requires specific ram to work. I was looking at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 for ram. If you know a good mobo for me on sale please let me know, or if you know some better ram.

You will be hard pressed to find a P67 mobo for around 100 dollars. You best bet is to wait until you can afford a low end Asus P8P67 or Gigabyte or MSI equivalent to get the maximum performance from your K series chip. You could drop down to an H67 mobo but your overclocking options are quite limited.

The ram you listed is fine for your build. Don't listen to people that tell you Sandybridge will only work with certain kinds of memory. As long as it is DDR3 dual channel, its compatible. I've run high voltages (1.9v) and low voltages (1.35v) and both work fine.

If you're near a microcenter, you get $60 off any SB/Mobo combo

Yea I am nowhere near a microcenter =[ So I had to spend $50 more on the 2500k. When I said $100! as in i dont want to spend $200 on a motherboard. I have been looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271 . What do you think?

I believe you nailed it with that link dude! I personally love my first ever asrock extreme4 gen3 board. I'm almost certian you'll be happy as asrock really stepped it up several notches and has made some solid preformance boards. Also as already stated, just about any DDR3 ram will work. I'm using gskill ddr3 LV sniper rams without issue.
