[Escapist] GameStop Leaks Vita Memory Card Pricing

Thread Starter
Quote:
The memory cards come in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB varieties, and are priced at $29.99, $44.99, $69.99 and $119.99, respectively. Since the Vita has no internal storage, you'll need to add the price of one of these babies when you're figuring out how much the system is going to cost you. Assuming, of course, you want to be able to, you know, save your game and stuff like that.

The pricing is absolutely ridiculous... Of course, I also wouldn't buy a Vita in the first place unless it can be hacked for emulators and such anyway. But still, $30 for 4GB when MicroSD and USB drives are like $10?

Pff, Sony have been doing this for years, remember when a 8MB memory card cost $69.99 or so (Here in Aus at least) while you could literally get 128MB memory sticks for that price?

I picked up a 32GB Sandisk microSD from some sale for $30 shipped. This is absurd.
