Oh hai there! This thread was about xfire performance mixed with the PII X4 series cpu; sorry for the confusion. Congrats on the sweet running setup though!

Hi, good to know your set up works for you. If your playing BF3 in your sig monitor (1440x900 ) your fps should be fine but mine is in 1080p and running 6870 xfire so base on my experience 955 GPU usage holds only below 60% but after jumping to X6 1100 (all set up same including drivers), now GPU usage min is 80% and normally stays 98%. Just saying on this part easy to count 123

Hope this gives you some light.. wink.gif

Totally happy on 1100

I feel the same way.. I run the game on a higher resolution but my video card is a bit faster than yours..

Very happy

so long story short my 6870 crossfire setup will work properly if i get an 1100 series? i get 60fpps but not maxed out on most maps with my 955 but it for sure isn't working properly
also using 1080p, textures on high AA x2 cpu @3.8

Base on my experience, yes. By the way, that 60 FPS is stable on you? coz I get that also when i was using 955 3.8 (High 1080 no AA) but i dips down 45 in heavy scenes and my gpu usage never go over 60%

Right now 1100@stock, I tested on some of the maps, It feels smoother and my fps stays around 70-80 (90 if inside ), spikes a bit in 59-65 in heavy. Metro maps inside I get 80-95+ (gpu usage never go down at 80, stay 90-98 as per MSI Afterburner)
This is in Ultra by the way (No AA and Motion Blur) I'll try motion blur see what happen - Also Im trying to OC right now

no it's not a stable 60fps but i have vsync on. it get lower on big maps and also sometimes dips down to 45. My gpu usage is also between 65 and 85%. i feel if it was 95% it would work much better. just ordered a 1100t though so that better fix this issue!

Same issue i had. I would suggest to turn off the vsync, i never use it in any games. you'll see much difference in 1100, game is much smoother. One thing I notice though, all maps are smooth but in firestorm it feels different and i notice my gpu usage is lower like 75-80% compared to other maps. which is 95-98. I will need to confirm it but right now either in stock 1100 you'll get a smooth gameplay

jeez a new architecture is better than an old architecture.

Except for the bullshi- bulldozer fiasco this is normal and this thread has no reason to exist.
