OC'ing Vengeance DDR3 1600mghz stix; won't move from 1333mghz (will not boot) - Page 2

I never turned off C&Q or C1E on my 945. There was no need to. OC was rock solid.

Now if I had a bad OC, it would probably cause issues.

You can always change the Windows Power settings. You can go High Performance, which will keep the CPU at the highest clocks at all times, or Balanced. If you choose balanced, go to the Advanced Settings and change the Minimum CPU State to say 70%. That will let the CPU clock down a bit when you don't need a mind blowing OC. It will knock the voltage down too, so the CPU will idle cooler.

I dunno if they changed it for the FX but RAM over 1333 is always defaulted to 1333 and must be manually adjusted.
RAM Speed : 671.2 MHz (3:10) @ 2-16-2-22 AHAHAHAHAh theres your problem should be like 7-8-7-22

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

So I thought I should let everyone know what it was; I finally got around to fixing the RAM again and it turned out to be what you guys were saying; the auto timing it had was completely incorrect, I set everything to the manufacturers suggestions (9-9-9-24). Thank you all for your input and I hope this thread may serve others for their questions.
