You've got an 1100T. That's your problem. No AMD CPU out there can handle 2 580's properly.

even if i have it at 4.0ghz stil will be a bottleneck?
yes. phenoms are dying and bulldozer is already dead. you'd need a 2500/2600k to get out of that CPU bottleneck.

Hmm guess it's 2500k time
Yup with two 5850's at 1080p I don't drop below 55 and that's extremely rare. 2500k would get your performance rock solid.

just wanna check one last time... still getting back into bulding a computer kinda noob still

Sli gtx580 lightning extreme 3gb cards

playing bf3 my cards only run at 50-70 percent on ultra settings everything on full
my fps dip into high 30s
processor percentage goes from 60-90

so 100 percent my processor is bottlenecking my cards, not my psu ? or anything else
1100T at 4.0 ghz

im gonna go get a 2500k and msi motherboard tomorrow.. my bottlenecking should be gone then...?

thanks for the help in advanced

so running heaven benchmark

i can get the cards to run 99 and 98 percent no problem but the cpu is only working at 20-40 percent

and in bf3 the cpu works 80-90 percent

i guess bf3 is a cpu intensive game
Bingo. Yes, BF3 is very CPU intensive. I'd say upgrade to the Z68 platform with a 2500/2600k and unlock the true potential of your SLI setup.

Edit: Whoops, just read that you already decided to pick up the 2500k and a motherboard. Good luck and report back on your substantial BF3 improvement. biggrin.gif

yup so was the 1100T

got a z68 ud4 and 2500K

my gpu stays at 98and 99 percent for both cards

cpu goes from 70-80ish percent at 4,3ghz

fps dont go under 75 fps on ultra 4xaa 16x af and hbao

if anyone is wondering on a ax 750w psu u can run 2 gtx 580 lightning edition 3gb cards at 905mhz and 2500k at 4.3 no problem
