Just about every (modern) heatsink is compatible with 1155.

Silver Arrow or NH-D14 would have that thing damn near 5ghz on air.

Anything that is compatible with LGA 1366, 1156, and even 775 will be compatible with the 1155 socket..

But some of the best coolers out there are

Air: Noctua NH-D14, Hyper 212+, Thermalright Venomous X, Silver Arrow

Water Coolers: Corsair's Hydro Series mainly H80 or H100

Just my recommendations, not sure what your exact needs may be but all of these coolers are backwards compatible.

I'm rocking the H80 with that cpu, and loving it.
Lowest fan setting full load at 4.3ghz it sits around 60c. Haven't really pushed it much past that yet.

Every Cooler has its pro's and con's, so please tell us what you're looking for more specifacally.... Noise, Size, looks,.. etc?

The very best outhere is the Phanteks, the Archon REv A, Silver arrow, D14, Alpenföhn K2 close second, the Corsair H80/H100/Antec 920 are very good too but the noise/performance ratio is not as good..

well I want it to look aesthetically pleasing but more importantly is that it is good at keeping the cpu cool without to much noise. Obviously the cooler its going to keep it i expect it to make more noise, but i want a good ratio of noise to efficiency

To some, the NH-D14 & the Silver Arrow don't look as good as the H series coolers, but they often outperform the H series at temperatures and noise. (I think the SA and the Noctua are sexy, I have the SA's fan's on my D14)

I suggest the SA, It's a few bucks cheaper after shipping than the NH-D14 too.

- You will have to make sure your case/ram is compatible.

I have this H80 still sleeping in the box (RMA replacement from a broken H70) and I'm thinking how well it will going to perform on a 5ghz rig.

Ok, then i would suggest the Silver Arrow. the Archon with one fan performs still awesome and is a bit quieter, since there is no p/p noise and only one fan obviously. Other good choices are the Prolimatech Genesis (best with two slow spinning fans, 800rpm and lower)), The Phanteks (best overall heatsink but not a whole lot better than the Silver Arrow with worse fans), The D14 (especially the new 2011 version with pwm only beaten slightly by the phanteks, K2 and SA), Alpenföhn K2 (on par with the silver Arrow, good PWM fans, overall nice product)...

If you want something really good but a little cheaper than i would think about getting the Thermalright Macho or True Spirit 140... they still perform really good but they are not nickle plated, the Heatpipes arent soldered to the fins, etc.)
