FTW PC are good people to deal with. You aren't that far away from them... so shipping will be fast for you. Faster for me since they are in San Diego.tongue.gif

12/9/11 UPDATE

alright so in preparation for all the wc supplies i decided to tackle the lower 240 mod, as well as make a bay door replacement biggrin.gif

i have vast amounts of 1/4" polycarbonate sheets, and decided to make that as my bay door void filler for the 140mm grill in the front:
IMG_0553.jpg

measured out the 240 at the bottom.. (really just used a 120mm fan and traced twice)
IMG_0555.jpg

and bam!
IMG_0556.jpg

finished:
IMG_0560.jpg

on another note, im having slight thoughts about powdercoating the case when im done modifying it. but by the time i figure out forsure what kind of setup i will go with, i'll be too deep into it to want to actually send it off lol

Even if I used ftw sleeve, I have to say mdpc is easier to work with in routing wires... since it's thinner sleeve. FTW PC is coming out with a thinner version that will compete with mdpc, but it isn't out yet... at least last I check, it wasn't out yet.

i think i will just go the ftwpc route. i've been trying for 2 days to get the english version of mdpc to work but nope. i cant get the currency to change at all its really frustrating. either way since im getting the corsair atx1200 i'll be just fine with the ftwpc sleeving.

and my girlfriend would like to point out that it was her idea for using polycarbonate sheeting on the front panel thumb.gif

12/13/11 UPDATE

just made my first purchase toward the watercooling side of the build.

parts included:

10x Enermax TB Silence 120mm
2x Enermax TB Silence 140mm
1x Black Ice SR1 240 Radiator
1x Black Ice SR1 360 Radiator
1x Phobya 140 "Stripes" Radiator Grill
1x Phobya 240 "Hexx" Radiator Grill
1x Koolance 3x120mm fan shroud
1x Lamptron 4 channel 5.25 fan controller "Rhoebus"
2x 120mmx2mm rubber ran silencer
6x Phobya 120mmx7mm rubber shroud/silencer
3x Apevia 120mm black fan grill
10x female 3pin fan connector
10x male 3pin fan connector
30x fan connector pins

i was pissed because ftwpc ran out of black sleeving as soon as i went to buy some. i decided mdpc-x is just too expensive plus the owner is out for medical reasons. im sure ftwpc's sleeving is just as great.

seeing as i ordered from 4 different sites it'll take some time for all the parts to get to me, in the mean time i am trying to figure out how i will run the pumps and the locations on the case to place them. i want to have 2 fill ports at the top of the case, with a similar drain setup out the back or something. i still need to figure that all out.
thanks!

12/17/11 UPDATE

alright so i've got a few things in the mail so far,

fan controller
fan shrouds/silencers
fan grills.

all i need left is the actual fans and the radiators with the rad grills as well.

but in the mean time, i got to work.

after i sat in front of my case for hours trying to find a smart way to mount the hdd without blocking airflow coming from the front of the case i figured out something pretty cool and i think you guys will like it.
i'll let the pictures do most of the talking, i'll just narrate biggrin.gif

first off i knew exactly how i was going to mount the front fan so i just started working on the hdd mounting...
2011-12-17_14-59-04_699.jpg
and then...
2011-12-17_16-07-52_787.jpg
wallah!
2011-12-17_16-08-28_465.jpg

then it was time for the fan mounting..
2011-12-17_14-59-58_143.jpg
and then...
2011-12-17_16-08-53_319.jpg
bam!
2011-12-17_16-16-31_669.jpg
biggrin.gif

now i thought this was pretty cool:
2011-12-17_16-23-03_656.jpg
remember, i got plenty of polycarbonate sittin' around...
2011-12-17_16-26-27_722.jpg
after a little measuring and cutting i got this, which when loose allows you to slide it back and forth to plug in the cables...
2011-12-17_16-47-04_802.jpg
2011-12-17_16-46-55_288.jpg
cables installed..
2011-12-17_16-50-28_2.jpg
and from the side..
2011-12-17_16-51-24_891.jpg

im going to trim a little more from around where the 90 degree cables are on the hdd so i can achieve a little more clearance and therefore not have the hdd at a slight angle when tightened down.

but i gotta get ready for a company dinner so i'll do that later tonight biggrin.gif

hope you guys enjoyed that i know i did lol

I guess when you PM'd me a while back saying that you have some competition to go all out on my first full wc setup, you meant it.eek.gif

Great original case modding there. Keep it up.thumb.gif
