Sick - it's hard to watercool x79 memory without it looking way too busy but I think you're going to pull it off. If you're looking for running the systems at it's limits though you might want to consider a 2nd loop for all those restrictive low heat blocks like the memory and motherboard and all the 90 degree fittigns required, otherwise your flow will be hurting on your cpu.

That's why I have 2 D5's running in serial, to make sure I'm not loosing any flow.

I'm also waiting for a 120mm rad to put on the back of the case as I've come to realize that I went out of the thermal limit of that rad. I will show why it happened shortly rolleyes.gif

I have considered a second loop; but I decided against it as this point, I'm able to make things look quite good the way they are and I pretty much outgrew the case as it is now already. I'd need to move the build into something more spacious like a CaseLabs M8 or something similar...

Yeah I guess you have the dual 24v controller so you should be good, if they were the regular D5s I'd be worried

I don't think you can go further than 2 D5's with 24v each thinking.gif

I'm sorry to dissappoint, but it'll take some time lachen.gif

I just dismantled everything I had... doh.gif I need to re-work some ideas.

Merci mon ami!

-

So here's the update so far:

I got this hugeee package! (Picture taken with iPhone... ph34r-smiley.gif)

img0465wc.jpg

Here's what was in the package:

20120120img2157.jpg

Whenever I can use something made in Germany > something else. I go for it.

20120120img2159.jpg

They have such great attention to details!

20120120img2161.jpg

So the fans are really good (GT AP-15's) but their cables are not sleeved and therefore it's extremely hard to route them properly because they get all tangled up...

20120120img2162.jpg

So I took out my MDPC-GOD-X (Million-Dollar-PC-Great-Organisational-Device-X) thumb.gif

20120120img2163.jpg

And got to work! wheee.gif

20120120img2165.jpg

Pretty nice heh? Now I can route them somewhere and they'll stay the way I put them!

Also did the pumps, sleeving is NOT perfect thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

20120120img2166.jpg

Then I went to work on the motherboard a little, using these 2mm spacers I am able to level the Koolance motherboard R4E block to the EK CPU block.

20120120img2168.jpg

Preliminary tests:

20120120img2167.jpg

Ok, so it works. Good to know specool.gif

20120120img2170.jpg

But it's not perfect!!! teaching.gif

20120120img2172.jpg

So I've undone everything.

20120120img2174.jpg

It was a necessary step because my CPU block still had the little paper.

20120120img2180.jpg

Sooo shiny wubsmiley.gif

20120120img2181.jpg

Guess who's back!?! wheee.gif

20120120img2183.jpg

It's better to spread out the paste as such according to many, I'm trying it out. Looks better to me thumbsupsmiley.png

20120120img2184.jpg

Perfection. upsidedwnsmiley.gif

20120120img2186.jpg

Until next time! yessir.gif

I can make you one rolleyes.gif

Here's the progress so far; was sleeving a lot of things lately!

20120124img2218.jpg

Now it's a horrible mess on the back; will need fixing!

20120127img2225.jpg

All the water thermal sensors are done!

20120124img2219.jpg

And all the standard thermal sensors are as well!

20120127img2229.jpg

A bit of sleeving coming out of all the poorly sleeved cables (sorry Antec)

20120127img2226.jpg

Additional 120mm rad just fits in the back wheee.gif

20120127img2228.jpg

And the connection is quite tight; but holds perfectly!

20120127img2231.jpg

Blu-Ray connector; as the drive is in the highest spot possible; it's the only way. Needed to change for a 90 degree SATA.

20120127img2222.jpg

Need to work on some of my sleeving skills for SATA cables. Very hard to do.20120127img2223.jpg

And my current work & problem/question:

20120127img2232.jpg

It connects to the Aquaero 5 and as I've heard, it's supposed to have a connection that trips the power switch in the computer, but as I discussed with Thomas, it actually only brings the computer out of sleep-mode because it's the purple wire and not the green one. Hence I am very confused if I need to recrimp something in a very weird way or it'll be okay...

Anybody can help me out no that one?

Update:

I did some more work!

Unsleeved the USB cable that connects the Aquaero to the board

20120129img2244.jpg

Measured the tape to house it in nicely :

20120129img2243.jpg

Tried going as far up to the connectors as I could.

20120129img2246.jpg

Proceeded to wrapping it around.

20120129img2247.jpg

Some time later, achieve results.

20120129img2263.jpg

Patch-up the work

20120129img2264.jpg

Part 2.

I have a dual pump controller than make my pumps receive 24v of power; but the cables that came with them are... fan cables that are super messy.

I decided to make my own :)

Attempting to crimp AWG 18 to a fan crimp is a bit... difficult.

But...

20120129img2265.jpg

Somehow they're different length!

20120129img2266.jpg

They look 10x better than original ones! :D

20120129img2267.jpg

I just don't believe that the small fan cables can hold up 300V... maybe at 0.0001A?

Previous post is a bit weird now...

Okay, so I was able to do a bit of additional work!

Sleeved and changed the end connector for the blu-ray drive.

20120130img2272.jpg

And recrimped the Aquaero stand-by connector to the 24-pin of the PSU.

20120130img2270.jpg

Shortly after, I got a new package! biggrin.gif

Video! biggrin.gif

The last one? Maybe...

20120201img2277.jpg

20120201img2280.jpg

20120201img2282.jpg

20120201img2283.jpg

20120201img2286.jpg

And now it's in my computer because I'm testing it out smile.gif

While it was running some benchmarks (doubling my 3DMarks 11 score... drool.gif)

Connected the RAM together, I find it's a bit better this way.

20120201img2287.jpg

20120201img2288.jpg

Getting ready to connect the northbridge to the RAM blocks.

20120201img2289.jpg

Aie aie aie... almost perfect

20120201img2290.jpg

20120201img2292.jpg

And probably the biggest milestone!

20120201img2293.jpg

Just had to make a slight modification to my tube routing...

20120201img2294.jpg

Originally I thought of connecting the 90 degree to the flow-meter and then to the aquaero, but unfortunately the RAM block is too high to connect to the small 120mm rad... frown.gif

Also; my friend really needs this to work, and he asked me to get it ready for Saturday......... :panic:

20120201img2295.jpg

EDIT:

Here's what is looks like now
