Creation Kit — Beginning in January, PC players will be able to download the same development tools we used at Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim. In tandem with the Creation Kit’s release, we will roll out a new Wiki and videos to help you get started. It also features something we think you’re going to love…

Finally an update on the CK! And Steam Workshop sounds awesome. Easy access to mods that auto DLs and installs? This is great for majority of users since I see a lot of people asking how to install mods, or they just install them incorrectly.

Can't wait thumb.gif

January? I'd rather have it now without all the Steam stuff.

They really should fix the bugs first.... It is so annoying. Heck, I can't even get a playable FPS with my HD 6950.

I can wait honestly.

I have nearly 100 hours played and have slowed down this past week. Taking a break until Jan with proper mods will bring much needed freshness to add another 100 hours biggrin.gif

That and Steam Workshop sounds fantastic honestly. No more having to unzip files and dragging them into folders. It will all just work with a push of a button.

January? Ugh, oh well. More time to play BF3 and EVE Online over Winter break then.

Steam Workshop you say? Sounds like a cool idea, although I'm a little afraid as to how Override control is going to work on things such as textures. And still using things like BOSS to reorder plugins. Plus, you all do realize that this means Steam has a say in whether a mod gets posted or not. I think I'll still be doing my mod shopping on the Nexus for the most part.

Especially once Wrye Smash comes out, I see no use for the Advanced modder to use Steam Workshop. I think it's a great way to get new people into modding though, helps bring more ideas and possibly a bigger PC audience once everyone shows their console friends the beauty that mods can do to a game.

haven't yet tried the 4gb loader (not been home) but it should help...and apparently ultra shadows are borked put them to high. I get ~45's average unless it goes tits up then i can hit 7 fps talking to a shop keeper mad.gif

Actually, aside from nude mods ( And the just released naughty animation mod ), I see no issues here. That and it's a great way for modders to get their mods known since a huge platform like STEAM is essentially their advertisement station.

Besides, modders can also upload to skyrim nexus. It's a win-win honestly.

Exactly, I wasn't trying to downplay the idea at all. I think it's wonderful. I was just speculating on how the texture override is going to work and the availability of some mods on Steam. I don't think the Killable Children mod will make it on there either tongue.gif
