Best fans for an H80?

Thread Starter
Looking to replace my stock fans as they're pretty noisy at higher speeds.

Looking for something efficient but less audible! I wanted a pair of 1800rpm Gentle Typhoons but they're hard to find at a good price.
I was thinking of these : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=35-233-035&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo

Would these be alright? I think it would match with my 600tse case too. I'd go with Noctua's but I can't stand their color scheme.

I was wondering about this too!
I was going to suggest Gentle Typhoons, but as you said already they're hard to find tongue.gif

I tried Noctua's too, but I REALLY do not like the colour... I guess one could paint them? *shrug*
Also they didn't seem to have enough static pressure.

I'm going to try an AP-121 from Silverstone as a pull, and see how a Gelid wing as a push to see how it sounds/cools.

If not I'm just sticking slightly slower Gentle Typhoons on it (1450rpm instead of the 1850).

I'm not too sure on the Xiggy's you've got linked there, perhaps someone with more experience can lend a hand.thumb.gif

How well would the Noctua NF-F12 fans work on a H80

If you don't want to shell out for Gentle Typhoons, pickup a few Swiftech Helixs. They're $8 ea. from Sidewinder Computers wink.gif

My vote is for these as well. They are like cheaper Gentle Typhoons.
