What Ram Should I Buy?

Hi
I am looking to upgrade my pc with more ram and was wondering which ram was better out of these 2. I am not looking to overclock, just using it to play games. I don't know much about computers so any help would be much appreciated.

If you can recommended any other ram that would be great.

Then none of the above. You posted triple channel kits. Your board is dual channel only. wink.gif

Pick any 2x4GB kit of DDR3-1600. Any of them should do fine. You can also look at 1866 and 2133 if you want to blow more money (make sure that you keep CAS 9 though, don't buy the ones with too loose of timings).

Those are excellent sticks. The red will clash a little with the blue motherboard, but those sticks are amazing.

If you care at all about keeping a color scheme....I'd grab these sticks instead:

Or the 1.35v Blue Ripjaw X sticks (9-9-9-24) (2x4GB). Assuming they're available there. Which, I just looked, and they're not there.

Im not too bothered by the colour, I have a questions to ask. When i get my new ram im going for the g skill should i take my old ram out and keep it at 8gb or keep the other 2x2gb to make it 12gb?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ4GX3M2A1600C9-1600MHz-Vengeance-Memory/dp/B004O69XAY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1322918208&sr=8-2
These are my old ram. Would it be better if i brought this instead since they are the same make as my other ones?

http://www.ebuyer.com/248846-corsair-vengeance-8gb-2x4gb-ddr3-1600mhz-cl9-1-5v-non-ecc-unbuffered-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9

Also i downloaded cpu-z and my dram frequency is 824mhz but my ram said it should be 1600mhz, should i change it in bios? Does it count as overlocking cause if it does i will leave it?

Thanks

Take the old ram out. Odds are 90% it would not work right. Its very hard to mix ram types and not have problems. 8GB will be fine.

And cpuz says 824mhz because it is double data rate or DDR3 ram. So it is running around ddr3 1648. You multiply what cpuz says by two.

I guess i could do with just 8gb. I thought it would work if i was to get the vengeance corsair ram 8gb ram. They are pretty much the same the only diffrence is the ram size of 4gb per stick.
