Need some suggestion for these 3 Sound Cards from Experienced users.

I'm looking for a Sound Card that can enable THX Surround sound with my Philips SHP2500 Headphone.

Well some of you might think using Philips SHP2500 Headphone is kind of weird. biggrin.gif

These are the sound cards I found after some Google search.

1. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! Pro (It's a USB Sound Card)
http://asia.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=873&product=20056
2. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio (It's an internal Sound Card)
http://asia.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=873&product=15855
3. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro (Kinda out of budget for this. But I would like to get some opinions about this too)
http://asia.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=873&product=20055

Now I'm having a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value sound card on my motherboard and I found that the sound card doesn't support surround sounds for Headphones. And Yes I'm using Desktop, not Laptop.Usually I need them for listening to music, gaming, movies.

Well, what I really want to know is actually whether which of the sound cards can convert my Philips SHP2500 Headphone into a headphone that can produces 7.1 surround sound and THX effects.

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks in advanced. smile.gif

Avoid the Go, avoid the Audio, idk what the last one is, link doesn't work for me.

Try to find an Xtreme Gamer/Music or X-fi Titanium if you're looking for a Creative card on a budget.

Alternatively, there's the Xonar series of cards in which DG is the cheapest, DX would be higher up.

Sorry for the broken link I've provided. The links are now updated.

I heard a lot of people saying that an Internal Sound Card will always be better than an External Sound Card. Is that true?

frankly, all three are not that good , and personally i think they must be avoided

i agree with Simca , getting a Xonar DG in this price range is the best you can do
