When I overclock past 4.0 my 24 gigs of ram drops to 4 gigs. Need help.

I hear all the time about this same cpu overclocking to 4.6 w/ no issues. Do you think it's a compatability issue with my ram, or would it have something to do with my motherboard? I appreciate any help.

As much as I love Asus I hate their BIOS releases...

My P6X58D-E did the same thing until they came out with a BIOS revision that has a memory recheck feature. Makes startups take longer but at least it works consistently.

They added the feature for your board in BIOS v. 1301.

You'll hit the power button, it will power on, shut down, power on, shut down, power on, and finally POST and start to boot. It's weird but it seems to work.
