How would you cool a Fractal R3 (with 4x AP-15s and a variety of random Fractal/CM fans, and a Hyper 212+)?

Right now I have two AP-15s as intake fans at the front of the case, 1 AP-15 as exhaust fan at the back of the case, all my PCI slots closed, and I have the stock cooler on the Hyper 212+.

I have as spare the two Fractal fans, one AP-15 and a blue LED coolermaster fan I got seperately (no idea which model).

I don't want to increase noise; but my GPU kicks in above 80C when I game and I'd like to decrease this a bit just to be sure.

Ambient temp is around 25C and my CPU's idle temp is about 30C with the Hyper 212 (1 stock fan). I do not know how hot it gets while gaming (never benchmarked it).

Thanks!b

Q1)which case?

Q2)what do u mean by stock cooler 'on' hyper 212+?does cooler mean fan in this case?

Q3)what are your cpu load temps?(use prime95)

Q4)Which GPU and CPU?

generic answers that 'usualy' work for most of the people.

1.add side intake for gpu.

2.more air going out 'usually' works better.

3.cable management helps.

Fractal R3 is the case... and I'm using the fan that comes with the Hyper 212, not anything aftermarker.

I don't know what my load temps are... I have Prime 95 but never ran the test yet. I'll try tomorrow I guess. CPU's an i5-760 and GTX560ti Hawk (Twin FROZR III). Cable management's about as good as it gets with my power supply (GPU + mobo power are too short to pass behind the mobo tray, so I put them as close to the other side pannel so they don't get in the way of fan flows.

I didn't know that it could work out better to get air out. Right now I have two intakes, one outtakes + 1 fan pushing air onto the CPU heatsink. Next time I take the mobo out, I'll put in a top outtake fan and perhaps add a side intake. Thanks!

ok,

your cpu is same as mine.

now since your ambient temp. is around 25C,your cpu temps at load should be from 55-60 MAX.if its above this, the heatsink isnt seated well.there are videos on you tube on how to seat a hyper212+ :)

also keep in mind your ideal temps are not important.your load temps are.intel sensors arent accurate at ideal temps, its accuracy increases as it reaches 99C.so do run prime95 for 20-30 mins.

try adding a side fan first.also removing the pci cover may help the gpu temps.

Thanks! Test is running right now (small FFTs) and temp hasn't yet reached above 40C. CPU is at 100% load.
